The Queen's most Excellent Majesty having, by Her Writ of Summons, bearing Date at Westm'r the Eighteenth Day of August last, appointed Her Parliament to open and begin this Day; the Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Writ under the Great Seal, for the proroguing of the Parliament."

Volumus enim vos, et quemlibet vestrum, inde erga Nos penitus exonerari; mandantes, et, Tenore Præsentium, firmiter injungendo præcipientes vobis, et cuilibet vestrum, ac omnibus aliis quibus in hac Parte interfit, quod ad dictum Decimum Diem Decembris, apud prædictam Civitatem Westm. personaliter compareatis et intersitis, et quilibet vestrum compareat et interfit, ad tracland. faciend. agend. et concludend. super iis quæ in dicto Parliamento Nostro, de communi Concilio dicti Regni Nostri, savente Deo, contigerint ordinari.

Return of the Sixteen Peers for Scotland.

The Clerk of the Crown in Chancery delivered this Day a Certificate of the Names of the Sixteen Peers, chosen, summoned, and certified, to fit and vote in this House, for that Part of Great Britain called Scotland; who attended at the Table, with the original Return; and the said Certificate, being compared therewith, was found to agree thereunto, and is as follows; (videlicet,)

"The Sixteen Peers, who, for that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, are chosen, summoned, and certified, to fit and vote in the House of Peers, in the Parliament of Great Britain, which is to meet at Westminster, the Twelfth Day of November Anno Domini 1713, are,
