The Lord President reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by vesting the Copies of Printed Books in the Authors, or Purchasers of such Copies, during the Times therein mentioned," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Amory Esquire, and the Answer of Colonel Henry Luttrell put in thereunto; as also upon the Petition and Appeal of the said Henry Luttrell, and the Answer of the said Thomas Amory put in to the said Appeal:

It is Ordered, That this House will proceed to hear Counsel further in this Cause, To-morrow, at Ten a Clock.
