After reading, and considering, the Report of Mr. Justice Powell and Mr. Baron Bury, to whom was referred the Petition of William Henden Esquire and others; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave given to bring in a Bill, according to the Prayer of the Petition.

Isaack's Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of Mr. Baron Lovell and Mr. Justice Eyre, to whom was referred the Consideration of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of the Barton and Farm of Pollesloe, in the County of Devon, late the Estate of Sebastian Isaack Esquire, deceased, for discharging Incumbrances thereupon; and for Distribution of the Surplus-money."

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill may be read a Second Time.

Calvert Leave for a Divorce, Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Benedict Leonard Calvert Esquire; shewing, "That, on the Second of January One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, he married the Lady Charlotte, Daughter to the Earl of Litchfield; upon which, his Father the Lord Baltimore settled a Rent Charge of Six Hundred Pounds per Annum to the Petitioner for Life, and to the Lady Charlotte for her Life, for her Jointure, who cohabited with him till about the Month of September One Thousand Seven Hundred and Five, and had Six Children, Four Sons and Two Daughters, which are all living; at which Time, from the Misbehaviours of the said Lady, a legal Separation was made, by which the Petitioner consented to allow the said Lady Two Hundred Pounds per Annum out of the said Six Hundred Pounds per Annum, the Remainder of which is all the Estate the Petitioner has, to maintain himself and Six Children: That, since the said Separation and large Allowance made and duly paid to the said Lady Charlotte, she hath exposed herself to open Adultery, to the Dishonour of the Petitioner and his Family, for which he has obtained a Sentence of Divorce in the Arches Court of Canterbury, without any Proof of Recrimination;" and praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to confirm the Sentence of Divorce, and for bastardizing such Child or Children that are or shall be born of the Body of the said Lady Charlotte after the said Separation:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That such Person or Persons as shall think themselves concerned herein may have a Copy or Copies of the said Petition; and shall put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Monday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Mason versus Alt. General, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of Gawen Mason Gentleman, Plaintiff in a Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Her Majesty's Attorney General is Defendant; shewing, "That this Cause stands to be heard on Saturday next; but, by reason of the Sickness of his Counsel, he cannot be ready at that Time;" and praying, "The same may be put off to a further Day; Her Majesty's Attorney General having consented thereto:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Clarke's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of George Clarke Esquire; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to sell his Estate in the County of Kent, for the paying Debts and Incumbrances in the Petition mentioned; and to settle his Estate in the County of Leicester in Lieu thereof:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Blencowe and Mr. Justice Tracy; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Riddle's Petition referred to judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Edward Riddell Esquire and Dorothy his Wife; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for Sale of their Estate in Lancashire, for Discharge of Debts and Incumbrances, in Ease of their Estate in Swinbourne, which is the ancient Estate of the Family, and worth Seven Hundred Pounds per Annum, or thereabouts:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Powell and Mr. Baron Bury; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Address relating to the Debts to the Army, and on the Civil List, during the Life of King William.

The House being moved, "To take into Consideration the Address made by this House to Her Majesty, the Twenty-ninth of March One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eight, in relation to Her Majesty's appointing Commissioners for stating the Debts due to the Officers and Soldiers of the Army, during the Life of the late King William, and such as represent them; and also the Debts owing to any Persons, or such as represent them, upon the Civil List, to the Death of His late Majesty King William:"

The House agreed to the Address following; (videlicet,)

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, from this House, by the Lords with White Staves, That Her Majesty will please to give Order, that the Commissioners appointed by Her Majesty, pursuant to an Address of this House of the Twenty-ninth of March One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eight, for stating the Debts due to the Officers and Soldiers of the Army, during the Life of His late Majesty King William (and such as represent them); and also the Debts owing to any Persons (or such as represent them) upon the Civil List, to the Death of His late Majesty King William; do lay before this House an Accompt, in Writing, of those Debts as stated by them, what remain unsatisfied, and to whom due, and other their Proceedings, pursuant to the said Commission."

Clarges' Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting a certain Piece of Ground, being Part of a Field called Stonebridge Field, adjoining to Piccadilly, in the County of Middlesex, in Trustees, to dispose of the same, to discharge a Debt to the Crown, and to other Uses."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be referred to the same Committee as Mr. Isaack's Bill stands committed.

Sir Richard Allin's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of Part of the Estate of Sir Richard Allin, alias Anguish, Baronet, in the Counties of Suffolk and Norfolk, for Payment of his Debts; and settling the Remainder according to his Marriage Articles."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be also referred to the same Committee to whom Mr. Isaack's Bill stands committed.

Their Lordships, or any Five; to meet at the same Place, on Friday the Second Day of March next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon.

Pooler's Bill.
