PRAYERS.

Ireland's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Ireland, of Abrigton, in the County of Salop, Esquire, and Frances his Wife; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to confirm Sales already, made of some Part of the Petitioner's Estate, in the Petition mentioned; and to vest a competent Part of the said Estate in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of his Father's Debts, and to raise Two Thousand Pounds for his Sister's Portion; and for setling Five Thousand Pounds on his Wife, and Five Thousand Pounds on his Younger Children, pursuant to his Mariage Settlement:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Dormer and Mr. Baron Lovell; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Freman and others;

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for securing the Freedom of Parliaments, by the farther qualifying the Members to sit in the House of Commons;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Members of H. C. further Qualification, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for securing the Freedom of Parliaments, by the farther qualifying the Members to sit in the House of Commons."

Ordered, That the said Bill be read the Second Time on Thursday next, at Twelve a Clock; and all the Lords summoned.

Greenshields versus Magistrates of Edinburgh.

Upon reading the Petition of James Greenshields Clerk; shewing, "That an Answer is put in to his Appeal, by the Magistrates of Edenburgh; and praying a Day may be appointed for hearing thereof:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, upon the said Appeal and Answer, on Thursday the First Day of March next, at Eleven a Clock.

The Lord Steward acquainted the House, "That the Lords with White Staves, having (according to Order) attended Her Majesty with the Address of Thursday last; She was pleased to return this Answer; (videlicet,)

Queen's Answer to Address concerning K. William's Debts.

"That Her Majesty will give Order to the Commissioners, to lay the Accompts desired before the House."

Driscoll versus Dalton.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Dennis Driscoll Esquire, to which Richard Dalton is Respondent:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will proceed to hear Counsel for the Respondent, To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock.

M. Dorchester, Leave for a Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of Mr. Baron Bury and Mr. Justice Dormer, to whom was referred the Petition of Evelyn Marquis of Dorchster; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, according to the Prayer of the said Petition.

Sir Berkeley Lucy's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Berkeley Lucy Baronet, Rebecca Hussey, Robert Apreece Esquire and Sarah his Wife, Elizabeth Hussey, Francis Rainsford Esquire and Elizabeth his Wife; shewing, "That the Petitioners, being entitled to the Benefit of a Trust of Dame Rebecca Lytton deceased, which became vested in Sir John Bolles Baronet, a Lunatic, as surviving Trustee, obtained a Clause in an Act of Parliament passed in the Seventh Year of the Reign of Her present Majesty, (intituled, "An Act for Payment of the Debts of Sir John Bolles Baronet, a Lunatic") to transfer the said Trust Estate; but several Parts of the said Estate, vested in the said Sir John Bolles, appearing since to be Estates of Inheritance, or Mortgages in Fee, it is doubted whether the same were transferred by Virtue of the said Clause;" and praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to explain and make more effectual the said Clause:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench and the Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges having perused the Bill, do sign the same.
