Kilburn and Sparrows Hern, Highways, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for repairing the Highway, between a certain Place called Kilburn Bridge, in the County of Midd'x, and Sparrows Hern, in the County of Hertford."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on this Day Sevennight, at Twelve a Clock.

Sir R. Guldeford's Bill:

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Manor of Hempstead, and other Lands therein mentioned, lying in the Counties of Kent and Sussex, the Estate of Sir Robert Guldeford Baronet, for the Payment of Debts; and for settling the Camber Farm, and other Lands, in the said County of (fn. 1) Sussex, to the same Uses as the said Manor of Hempstead now stands settled: That they had considered of the said Bill, perused the Deeds recited; and that the Parties concerned therein had given their Consents to the Bill; and that the Committee had made several Amendments thereunto."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

To lie on the Table Ten Days.

Ordered, That the said Bill, with the Amendments, do lie on the Table for Ten Days.

Messages from H. C. with Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Cross and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the reviving and continuing several Acts therein mentioned, for the preventing Mischiefs which may happen by Fire; for building and repairing County Gaols; for exempting Apothecaries from serving Parish and Ward Offices, and serving upon Juries; and relating to the returning of Jurors;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Wrightson and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the erecting a Corporation, for the speedy finishing the Hospital, and establishing, perpetuating, and Management, of the Charity of the Skippers and Keelmen of the Town and County of Newcastle upon Tyne;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Patrick's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Penelope Patrick, Widow and Executrix of Symon late Lord Bishop of Ely, and of Ann Patrick, Widow and Executrix of Symon Patrick, late of Dalham, Clerk, and Guardian of Symon Patrick, Son and Heir of the said Symon Patrick of the Age of Six Years, and of Penelope, Judith, Mary, and Catherine Patrick, the Four surviving Daughters of the said Symon, on Behalf of themselves and of the said Children; and of Ann Fountagne Widow, and John Fountagne Esquire, Grandmother and Uncle to the said Children, on Behalf of the said Children; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Sale of the Manor of Dalham, and other Manors and Hereditaments, in the County of Suffolk and elsewhere, late the Estate of Symon Patrick Clerk, lately deceased, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench and Mr. Justice Tracy; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Duloe Vicarage, Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making a perpetual Augmentation to the Vicarage of Duloe, in the County of Cornwal, out of the Tithes and Profits of the Rectory of Duloe."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Hiccocks and Mr. Medlicot:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Mixed Broad Cloth Bill:

The House was (according to Order) adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for regulating, improving, and encouraging, the Woollen Manufacture of mixed or medley Broad Cloth; and for the better Payment of the Poor employed therein."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Clarendon reported from the said Committee, "That they had gone through the Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

The House being moved, "That Christopher Tanckred Esquire may have Leave to withdraw his Appeal depending in this House, whereunto Catherine Tanckred Widow, Catherine, Dorothy, Frances, Anne, Elizabeth, and Ursula Tanckred, are Respondents;" and the Consent of the said Respondents being signified to the House:

It is therefore Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Christopher Tanckred hath Leave to withdraw his Appeal, as desired.

Hillersdon's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting several Lands in Battlesden, in the County of Bedford, in John Hillersdon Esquire and his Heirs, discharged of several Uses and Estates to which they are now limited; and for settling other Lands, of greater Value, in the same County, to the same Uses."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Wednesday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant April, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Vyner's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to vest several Lands and Tenements, in the County of Warwick, the Estate of Thomas Vyner, late of Ethrop, in the said County, Esquire, deceased, in Trustees; and to enable them to sell Part thereof, for discharging several Incumbrances thereon, and to raise a Provision for his Son and Heir, an Infant, and the rest of his Children."

Pake's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to explain an Act, made in the Seventh Year of Her Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act to empower the Lord High Treasurer of Great Britain, or Commissioners of the Treasury, to compound with the Sureties of Samuel Pacey deceased, late Receiver General for the County of Suffolk, so far as it relates to Joseph Pake, One of the said Sureties."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Friday next, at One a Clock.

Insolvent Debtors Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of Insolvent Debtors, by obliging their Creditors to accept the utmost Satisfaction they are capable to make, and restoring them to their Liberty."

Content Galley, a free Ship, Bill.

Ordered, That on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to make free The Content Galley, a Running Ship, taken from the French, and condemned as Prize."

Act for discharging the Yule Vacance, to repeal, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for repealing the Act passed in the Parliament of Scotland, intituled, Act for discharging the Yule Vacance."
