PRAYERS.

Thompson to be heard touching Transportation of Felons.

Upon reading the Petition of Leonard Thompson, of Greys Inn, Esquire; praying, "In regard there are in the Bill depending in this House, touching the Transportation of Felons, Matters contained, which may prejudice his Interest; that he may be heard, by his Counsel, before the said Bill does pass:"

It is Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of the whole House to whom the said Bill stands committed; and that the Petitioner be heard, by One Counsel, thereupon, before their Lordships, if he thinks fit.

Message from H. C. to return the D. of Kent's Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by the Lord William Pawlet and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Henry Duke of Kent, and Anthony Grey Esquire, commonly called Earl of Harrold, to make Jointures for the Wife or Wives of the said Earl of Harrold, and for other Purposes therein mentioned;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendment to One of their Amendments to the said Bill.

Raw Silk, Bill.

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual an Act, made in the Eighth Year of the Reign of the late Queen, intituled, "An Act for employing the Manufactures, by encouraging the Consumption of Raw Silks and Mohair Yarn," was committed: "That they had gone through the Bill; and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Lord Caher versus Nagle et al.

After hearing Counsel, for the Lord Caher, upon his Appeal depending in this House, whereunto Catherine Nagle and others are Respondents:

It is Ordered, That this House will, To-morrow at Twelve a Clock precisely, proceed to the further Hearing of the said Cause.

Paliner versus Strode, in Error.

The Lord Parker, Lord Chief Justice of the Court of King's Bench, delivered, as usual, the Transcript of a Record on a Writ of Error; wherein,

John Palmer, Bailiff of the Borough of Ivelchester, in the County of Somerset, is Plaintiff; and George Strode, Defendant.

East Grinstead Road Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for amending the Roads from the City of London, to the Town of East Grinstead, in the County of Sussex, and to the Towns of Sutton and Kingston, in the County of Surrey."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have agreed to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Gery and Mr. Rogers:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Barnardiston, &c. versus Chapman, &c.

The House was informed, "That, upon the Writ of Error wherein Barnardiston and Marriot are Plaintiffs, and Chapman and Smith Defendants, the Certiorari prayed and awarded is returned."

And their Lordships being moved, "That the said Defendants may, by a short Day, be ordered to join Issue upon the Errors assigned:"

Defendants to join Issue.

It is thereupon Ordered, That the said Defendants do forthwith join Issue accordingly.

Adjourn.
