Bethnal Green Church, Bill.

The Lord Willoughby of Parham reported from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling the Inhabitants of the Hamlet of Bethnal Green, in the County of Midd'x, to compleat their Church, and to pay Debts already contracted for the Relief of the Poor of the said Parish," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Crabb to take the Name of Boulton, Bill.

The same Lord made the like Report from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Henry Crabb and his Heirs Male to take and use the Surname of Boulton, pursuant to the Will of Richard Boulton Esquire, deceased," was committed.

Ordered, That the said Bill be engrossed.

D. Bedford takes the Oaths.

This Day John Duke of Bedford took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration; his Grace having first delivered in a Certificate of his receiving the Sacrament, to the Truth whereof Witnesses were sworn and examined.

Lady Lake against Representatives of Mason.

The House was informed, "That the Respondents to the Petition of Dame Mary Lake Widow and others, presented to their Lordships on the 6th Day of February last, relating to a Cause formerly in this House, on an Appeal of Charles Mason Esquire, from a Decree of the Court of Chancery, have put in their Answers to the said Petition."

And it being thereupon moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Matter in Question, on the said Petition and Answers:"

It is Ordered, That this House will hear Counsel on both Sides thereupon, on the First Cause-day after the approaching Recess at Easter.

Ripon Common enclosing, Bill.

The Lord Sandys reported from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for giving further Time to execute an Act, made in the Seventeenth Year of His present Majesty, intituled, An Act for extinguishing a Right of Common claimed by, and belonging to, the Owners and Proprietors of ancient Burgages and Tenements, in Ripon, Littlethorpe, and Bondgate, in the County of York, and for settling and providing an Equivalent for they said Common Right," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Kelfield Commons enclosing, Bill.

The Lord Bishop of Bangor made the like Report from the Lords Committees to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for establishing Articles of Agreement, for an Enclosure and Division of the Common Fields, Wastes, and Common Grounds, in the Manor of Kelfield, in the County of York; and for empowering the Lord of the said Manor to raise Money to complete the said Enclosure," was committed.

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to His Majesty several Rates and Duties upon Glass, and upon Spirituous Liquors; and for raising a certain Sum of Money, by Annuities and a Lottery, to be charged on the said Rates and Duties; and for obviating some Doubts about making out Orders at the Exchequer, for the Monies advanced upon the Credit of the Salt Duties granted and continued to His Majesty by an Act of the last Session of Parliament;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

The said Bill was read the First Time.

His Majesty, being seated on the Throne, with the accustomed Ceremonies; the Prince of Wales, in his Robes, sitting in his Place on His Majesty's Right Hand; the Lords being also in their Robes; commanded the Deputy Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to let the Commons know, "It is His Majesty's Pleasure, that they attend Him immediately, in this House."

Who being come, with their Speaker; he, after a short Introduction in relation to the Money Bills, delivered the same to the Clerk, who brought them to the Table; where the Clerk of the Crown read the Titles of those and the other Bills ready for the Royal Assent, as follow; (videlicet,)

"14. An Act for rectifying and amending the Defects in a former Act of Parliament, made in the Fifteenth Year of the Reign of His present Majesty, for Sale of Part of the Estate of Edward Bayntun Rolt Esquire; and for the better and more effectual Execution of the Trusts in the said former Act."

To these Bills the Royal Assent was severally pronounced, in these Words; (videlicet,)

Then His Majesty was pleased to retire; and the Commons withdrew.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Real and Leasehold Estates late of Edward Wright Esquire, deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of his Debts and other Purposes," stands committed, be revived; and meet on Friday next.
