Lord Mountague's Protection forged by Mayne.

Upon the Complaint of the Lord Mountague, it is Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending on this House do forthwith bring before their Lordships the Body of John Mayne, who hath counterfeited the Protection of the said Lord Mountague.

Starkey's Petition.

The Petition of Ralph Starkey, exhibited this Day, for a Commission to settle the Lands of John Starkey, Esquire, his Father, deceased, is referred to the Lords Committees for Petitions, to consider whether the Petitioner's Demand shall be granted upon a Petition, or whether he shall exhibit his Bill.

Academy.

The Lord Admiral also moved the House to take Care of the Breeding and Education of the Children of the Nobility and Gentry of Worth of this Kingdom, which hath been moved here in a former Parliament; and that an Academy might be erected for that Purpose; which was well approved of, and referred to further Consideration (vide Parl. 18 Jac. 5 Martii).

The which Two Bills were sent down to the Commons, by Mr. Serjeant Crewe and Mr. Serjeant Bartlett.

Serjeant at Arms versus Dean of York and Dr. Hodson.

Upon the Petition of Humfrey Leigh, Serjeant at Arms attendant on this House; it was Ordered, The Dean of Yorke and Dr. Hodson (One of the Prebends there) to pay the Fees presently unto the said Serjeant and other Officers, according (fn. 1) to the Order of the Seventeenth of May 1626, made the last Parliament; or else to appear before the Lords on Wednesday the 8th of this April, at Nine in the Morning, to answer the same.
