PRAYERS.

Earl of Manchester was Speaker.

The Messengers sent Yesterday to the House of Commons return with this Answer:

Answer from the H.C. about Justice Berkley's Trial.

That they have delivered their Message to the House of Commons, That the Trial of Mr Justice Berkley shall be To-morrow.

Delamaine to print a Book of Fortification.

Ordered, That Mr. Delamaine, having bestowed a great deal of Pains in making a Book of Fortification, shall have Leave to have the Printing of the said Book.

Lord Willoughby's Letter, for a Reinforcement in Lincolnshire.

Next, a Letter of the Lord Willoughby of Parham was read, directed to the Speaker of the Lords House, dated the 1st August, shewing "the State and Condition the Forces of the Parliament are in those Parts in Lyncolneshire, desiring present Relief both of Men and Money, else those Parts cannot be preserved from being lost to the Earl of Newcastle's Army."

Ordered, To be communicated to the House of Commons; which was accordingly sent down, by a Message, by Sir Edward Leech and Doctor Heath:

Petition to the King, for Peace.

The Earl of Northumb. reported, "That the Committee had considered of a Petition, to be presented to His Majesty, from both Houses, concerning the settling of the Distractions of the Kingdom:" Which Petition being read and Debated, was Agreed to; and Ordered, To have a Conference with the House of of Commons about it To-morrow Morning, at Eleven of the Clock.

Message to the H. C. for a Conference about it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Serjeant Whitfeild and Mr. Serjeant Fynch:

To desire a Conference To-morrow Morning, at Eleven of the Clock, in the Painted Chamber, touching some Propositions to be presented to His Majesty.

Lord Abercorn's Servants, a Pass.

Ordered, That the Servants of the Lord Abercorne shall have a Pass, to come from Oxford to London.

Mr. Woodcock, to be One of the Synod.

Ordered, That Mr. Woodcocke shall be put into the Place of Mr. Mooreton, One of the Assembly.

Message to the H. C. for it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Edw. Leech and Doctor Heath:

To let them know, that one Mr. Moreton of the Assembly is dead; their Lordships desire them to join, that Mr. Woodcoke may be added in his Place.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That the House of Commons do agree to Mr. Woodcocke, to be added to the Assembly.

Sir Fulk Grevill, a Pass for his Wife, &c.

Ordered, That Sir Foulke Grevill shall have a Pass, for his Wife and Children to go into Holland.

Hunt's Horses protected.

Ordered, That John Hunt, that serves this House with Wood, shall have a Protection for his Horses.

Devereux and Withypoole.

Ordered, That the Cause between Sir Walter Deveureux and Sir Wm. Withypoole shall be heard on Tuesday next.

Adjourn.
