An Order concerning Persons which claim the Benefit of the Articles of Truro, was read; but laid aside for the present.
Upon reading the Petition of George Hadley, of London, Grocer, &c.
The Question being put, "Whether a Committee shall be appointed, to examine the Fact in the Petition?"
It was Resolved in the Negative.

Ordered, That John Mountgomery and George Mountgomery, with one Wall a Servant, shall have a Pass, to go into France.

Order for 17, 138 l. 10s. 11d. to the Reduced Officers late under Command of L. Fairfax.
"Forasmuch as it appeareth, by Certificate from the Committee for taking the Accompts of the whole Kingdom, that there is due unto the Reduced Officers late under Command of Ferdinando Lord Fairefax, whose Names are inserted in a List delivered in to the House of Commons, the Sum of Fifty-one Thousand Four Hundred and Fifteen Pounds, Twelve Shillings, and Ten Pence, for their Arrears of Pay: The Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled do Order and Ordain, That the Sum of Seventeen Thousand One Hundred Thirty-eight Pounds, Ten Shillings, and Eleven Pence, being the full Third Part of the said Sum of Fifty-one Thousand Four Hundred and Fifteen Pounds, Twelve Shillings, and Ten Pence, shall be paid in Course, out of the Receipts of the Excise or new Imposts, by Ordinance of the 11th of September, 1643, together with Interest for the same at the End of every Six Months, after the Rate of Eight Pounds per Centum, for the Use of the said Officers, in full Satisfaction of their Demands of the aforesaid Sum of Fifty-one Thousand Four Hundred and Fifteen Pounds, Twelve Shillings, and Ten Pence, it not appearing what the said Officers may be surcharged with by the State, for Horse, Arms, or Money levied upon the Country, or from Committees received; and the Commissioners of Excise or new Import are hereby authorized and required to pay the said Sum of Seventeen Thousand One, Hundred and Thirtyeight Pounds, Ten Shillings, and Eleven Pence, with Interest, accordingly, unto Wm. White Esquire, or unto such Person or Persons as shall have Order from him under his Hand and Seal to receive the same, or any Part thereof; and the Receipt of the said Wm. White, or any Person or Persons by Order under his Hand and Seal as aforesaid, of all or any Part of the said Seventeen Thousand One Hundred Thirty-eight Pounds, Ten Shillings, and Eleven Pence, with Interest for the same as aforesaid, shall be unto the said Commissioners, and every of them, a sufficient Discharge in that Behalf: And it is referred to the Committee of the House of Commons for the Northern Association, to proportion and divide the same amongst the said Officers, according to the said Certificate and List; and the said Wm. White shall pay or assign the said Sum of Seventeen Thousand One Hundred Thirty-eight Pounds, Ten Shillings, and Eleven Pence, or any Part thereof, according to such Order and Directions as he shall receive from the said Committee, which shall be unto him a sufficient Discharge in that Behalf."
