Alderman: Ralph le Blund, goldsmith (c. 1270-95). Will enrolled 1295-6. Apparently resident in St. John Zachary, Aldersg (LBC 201).

  • 4. Robert le Nor(r)eys 1275 RH 403 (juror Bas), 1291-2 LBA 179 (painter, executor of Margery, widow of Nicholas de Netton), possibly R. de Basseyeshawe 1295-6 Will (of St. Michael). Nicholas de Neketon was a juror for Bas in 1275 (RH 424). - ME Norreis, OF Noreis, probably 'Northerner' rather than 'Norwegian'.
  • 5. Philip de Norhampton 1297 LBB 238 (repr. Bas), 1299 (1320) Pat, Ph. de Norhamtone, fripperer 1300 LBC 72. Cf. 1319 S [Bas 13, 28].
  • 6. Thomas de Fulsham 1295 CW 120 (guardian of the children of Robert de Fulsham), Th. de Fulham 1298-9 ib. 141 (deceased). Isabella, widow of Th. de Folesham, was a creditor of Ralph de Folesham in 1299 f. (LBB 87, 96). Thomas was very likely a mercer like Stephen de Folsham (1290-1 LBA 128) and John de Fulsham (1312 LBD 170). - Foulsham Nf.
  • 7. Cf. Geoffrey le Tezere 1324-5 CW 313, Philip le Tyeghmakere 1336-7 Cor 181, Nicholas le Tyeghmakiere 1339 ib. 241 (jurors BroadSt). The surnames seem to mean 'maker of caskets', like G Schreiner, MDu scrinmaker, and belong to tye (tie) 'a small box for jewels, etc.; a casket' (OE teag).
  • 8. Presumably a brewer. Cf. CripI 16.
  • 9. David le Foundour 1304 LBC 140, 1309 LBD 42 (a founder).
  • 10. Thomas Perceval 1293-4 LBA 150 (a fripperer), 1303 Mayors 151, 1312 Will (merchant, of St. Bartholomew, BroadSt). Thomas may have moved after 1292.

  • 12. Endone probably for Hendone. If so, perhaps Walter de Hendone, ceinturer (girdler) 1305 LBB 163 (a debitor of William de Hiclingge, clerk of the chamber of the Guildhall). - Hendon Mx.
  • 14. Juliana, widow of Robert de Paris, whose will was enrolled in 1290. Robert was a juror for Bas in 1275 (RH 403). Cf. 1319 S [Bas 5]. Gilian is a form of Juliana.
