Part of a Roman villa (Lechlade (7)) lies in this parish.

(1) Enclosure (SP 174041), (Plate 54) undated, S.W. of Homeleaze Farm, shows as a crop-mark; adjacent indistinct crop-marks cover some 9 acres of level ground, about 350 ft. above O.D.
