bishopric of Winchester, for 4l., part of a yearly rent of 8l. due from the

of the bishopric of Winchester for 17 Edward [II], showing the
payment of 4l. to the prior of Bermondesey for a rent due to him in

has yearly paid to the monks of Bermondsey, 8l. for houses &c. in the
monastery of St. Saviour's, Bermondsey, lying in the parish of St. Margaret

Caryngton, knight, in a cause between Edward the Masscy of Altryncham, and
James of Sale, and Margery his wife, relative to certain land in Altryncham
called 'Bradley hey' concerning which the said Edward has brought an assize
of novel disseisin against the said James and Margery in the king's court at
Chester; viz. James is to make no defence against Edward in the said
assize, and is to deliver to him a release made by Alice Pycart to Thomas
Duncalf, Margery's grandfather, of part of a messuage and land in
Altryncham, and Edward is to pay to James 7 marks, and release to him
all costs recovered by Edward in the said court, for the said matter.
