Havering atte Bower.
To Richard earl of Arundel and his fellows, keepers of the maritime land in co. Southampton, and to the superior arrayers of men at arms and others in that county, and co. Wilts and certain other counties of the realm. Order not to distrain the abbot of Battle to find any men at arms, archers or others for the custody of that land by reason of his manor of Bromham, co. Wilts, because the abbot has caused all his servants to be arrayed and retains them in his company, staying on the sea coast near Wynchelse, co. Sussex, for the safety of those parts against foreign invasion, at his own expense, by the king's order. By C.

To the collectors in the West Riding, co. York, of the triennial tenth and fifteenth granted by the community of the realm. Order to take all those who are contrary or rebels in that collecting and levying and to send them to York castle to be delivered to the sheriff for imprisonment there, as the king has been informed that they are impeded by certain ministers and others in that Riding. By C.
