Burdet, late her husband, held of the gift and enfeoffment of the

in the suburb of London, which tenement lies in breadth between the
tenement of Robert de Swodhull, cook, on the east, and that of John le
Beel on the west, and extends in length from the highway of Flete
strete towards the north, as far as the tenement of John le Beel towards

presents, to cause proclamation to be made in that city that all merchants of Spain, Catalonia, Lombardy, the duchy of Aquitaine, and certain
other places beyond who are in the king's friendship, who wish to come
to the realm with their merchandise, shall come safely under the king's
protection, and traffic there according to the charter of Edward I, forbidding all, under pain of forfeiture, to do any harm to such merchants
but to treat them kindly, so that they exercise legal merchandise and
