To the sheriff of Bedford and Buckingham. Order to pay to John de Mounceaux, the king's serjeant at arms, 20l. upon 12d. a day for his wages so that he may be able to pay them to the father of his wife, who is about to set out on a pilgrimage to divers places, as the said father wishes to enfeoff John of a carucate of land if John will lend him 20l. promptly for making his pilgrimage, and John has besought the king to pay him 20l. upon the 12d. daily granted to him for life for his wages to be received of the issues of those counties. To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to account with Richard de Grymesby, the king's serjeant at arms, exchanger and assayer of his money in the Tower of London, for the wages and fees in arrear to him, for the time of William de Wakefeld, late keeper of the exchanges in the Tower, and further to do what the nature of the account requires, as Richard has besought the king to order such account to be made with him.
