Brother John de Cusancia, prior of Bermundeseye, acknowledges for himself and convent that they owe to William de Retteford, clerk, 60l.; to be levied, in default of payment, of their lands and chattels and ecclesiastical goods in Surrey.

Anne late the wife of Edward le Despenser acknowledges that she owes to John de Bokyngham, keeper of the king's wardrobe, 1,000 marks; to be levied, in default of payment, of her lands and chattels in the county of Lincoln.

William Deyncourt, lord of Graneby, acknowledges that he owes to Thomas de Holbourn, clerk, and to Richard de Graneby, clerk, 400l.; to be levied etc. in the county of Nottingham.
Enrolment of grant by William Deyncourt, lord of Graneby, to Thomas de Holbourn, clerk, and Richard de Graneby, clerk, of all his manor of Wobourn, except the woods pertaining thereto; he has also granted to them pannage for all their pigs and agistment for the pigs of any others which they wish to agist in those woods, and reasonable estover to wit in 'housbote' and 'haybote' and fuel in the said manor, in those woods, and a thousandweight of 'talwode' by view of the keeper of the said woods, to be carried whither they wish. Witnesses: David de Wollore, clerk, John de Codyngton, clerk, John de Kyneton, clerk, John de la Glorie and John Bernard. Dated at Wobourn, 12 October, 27 Edward III.
Memorandum that William came into chancery at Westminster on 13 October and acknowledged the preceding charter.
Enrolment of indenture testifying that whereas William Deyncourt, lord of Graneby, granted by charter his manor of Wobourn with appurtenances except the woods belonging thereto, to Thomas de Holbourn, clerk, and Richard de Graneby, clerk, with pannage and agistment and reasonable estover and a thousand-weight of 'talwode' yearly, as is fully contained in the said charter, and for the greater security of those clerks he acknowledged in chancery that he was bound to them in 400l. Thomas and Richard grant that if they hold the manor, except the woods with the said pannage, agistment, estover and 'talwode' from the date of these presents until the end of eleven years, and with the easement of all the houses of the manor, with free entry and exit until Midsummer after the end of the eleven years, without hindrance or claim from William or Lady Milicent his wife, then the said charter and recognisance shall be null. Dated at Wobourn, 14 October, 27 Edward III.
Memorandum that on the said 14 October Thomas and Richard came into chancery at London and acknowledged the preceding indenture.

Enrolment of release by Robert son of Thomas de Tudenham, knight, to the master and scholars of the house of St. Michael, Cambridge, of all his right and claim in a piece of curtilage and a piece of arable land lying in the town of Groundesburgh, containing about 3½ roods of lands, whereof the piece of curtilage lies between the highway on the south and the lands of divers men on the north and abuts upon the curtilage of Alan le Archier towards the east, and upon the land of Groundesburgh church towards the west, and the piece of arable land lies between the land of Alan le Archer on the east and the land of Gilbert Gerard on the west, and abuts upon the said curtilage on the south and upon the land of Lady Margaret de Kenton on the north; he has also released to them all his right and claim in the advowson of Groundesburgh church, with its appurtenances. Dated at Cantebrigg on Saturday after the Translation of St. Thomas the Martyr, 27 Edward III. To the treasurer and barons of the exchequer. Order to cause the men of the parishes of Chevelyngham, Wolloure, Emeldon, Chatton, Werkworth, Routhebury, Ellesdon, Brankeston, Fenton, Horton, Karham and Forde, co. Northumberland, and John de Coupeland, sheriff of the county, to have respite until Whitsuntide next for the 600l. 3s. 1d. with which they charged the sheriff in his account rendered at the exchequer, and for other sums exacted of them for the ninth of sheaves, lambs and fleeces granted to the king in the 14th year of the reign, and to allow the men of the parishes of Aldeston, Symondesbourn, Hautwisel, Whitefeld, Knaresdale, Horsley, Whelpyngton, Suyngeham, Hawe, Thoreryngton, Slaveley, Angreham and Alwenton to have respite until the said feast for all the sums exacted of them for the ninth. Memorandum that Richard earl of Arundel, lord of the barony of Bromfeld and Yale in the march of Wales, and William de Monte Acuto, lord of the barony of Denbegh, on 24 October, did homage to the king in his new chamber in the palace of Westminster, for those baronies as immediately subject to the crown of England, in the presence of Edward, prince of Wales.
