Release and quitclaim of all their rights in the other manors belonging to the said Thomas, and of all actions in respect of them, with the exceptions below stated: since William Rogers granted to the said William Huddesfeld and Katherine in allocation of dower and jointure of the said Katherine for term of the life of Joan late wife of John Leukenore knight, the manor of Smalbroke, a tenement called 'Olwey' and all lands etc. of the above William Rogers in Warmystre, Bysshopystrowe, Rogelegh (sic), Deverelllongbrigge, Michelsutton and Lytelsutton co. Wilts, formerly of Thomas Rogers, and the reversion of Colyngbourne Valance manor, to come to him on the death of the aforesaid Joan, saving the manor of Ore and certain tenements in Draycote, Caldcote, Chykeladerugge co. Nov. 21. Indenture between William Fagger gentleman, and John Wodeham of Weybrigge co. Surrey, witnesses that where the said William on 20 May, 14 Edward IV, let to farm to the said John a messuage with 100 acres of land, 5 acres of meadow, 20 acres of pasture, 20 acres of wood and 40 acres of heath (bruer) in Weybrigge from Michaelmas next for a term of seven years: by force whereof John enfeoffed Thomas Seyntleger, Thomas Bourgchier knights, Thomas Wyntersell, Thomas Basset, John Weston, Henry Achirch and William Hurlebat and their heirs to the use of John Wodeham, it is agreed between the parties that the said William shall enjoy all the foresaid lands for evermore: and Thomas Seyntleger and the other feoffees shall make estate of the same to William Fagger or his assigns: for which the said William releases and quitclaims to John Wodeham all debts and damages by reason of the said lease and enfeoffment: and he and his heirs will pay John and Joan his wife during their lives 53l. 4s. at four terms of the year and will suffer them to have reasonable 'firebote' in the said lands. Memorandum, that on 29 November this year, a writ was delivered to John Chamberleyne, deputy of the sheriff of Nottingham town, directing the sheriff to attach the body of John Wytherley, so that he appear in chancery at Hilary next, under pain of 100l. to answer for his contempt: in that although summoned to appear on a fixed day, as witnessed by William Fossebroke, to answer certain charges, he failed so to appear, in manifest contempt of the king's writ. Dated as above.
