August 2. Indenture between Richard Densham and John Bryce, witnesses that for a certain sum of money paid, John has sold to Richard and Anne his wife the manor of Wynterborne Querlestone co. Dorset: and all his rights and interest therein with a clause of warranty; and will deliver to them all evidences, deeds, charters and muniments concerning the premises: and for these covenants to be kept he is bound in 500 marks. English.

Norfolk, whereof she was seised for term of life of William Robessart, by demise of John Groos, with remainder to William Tyndale: which John Groos held jointly with John Fortescu, late chief justice of England, by demise of John Arundell, dean of the king's free chapel of Wyndsor, for the same term. Dated 25 January, 1 Richard III.
Jan. 12. Indenture between William Catesby, esquire of the king's body, and Elizabeth Brews widow, that where there has been variance between them about the manor of Redynhale, the parties, by mediation of their friends, have agreed that William Catesby, for 100 marks paid to Elizabeth, shall enjoy the same for ever; and that Elizabeth shall make a sure estate of the same to him by fine, recovery or otherwise and deliver to him all charters, evidences and muniments concerning the premises: for which William Catesby will grant her a yearly rent of 8l. during the life of William Robessart, with clause of distress and pain of 20s. after six weeks arrears of rent: and where Elizabeth has another manor called 'Haukerys' adjoining Redenhale, it is agreed that a true division shall be made by indifferent friends, so that they may be distinguished. In witness whereof etc., day and year aforesaid. English.

William Kayleway, to master Thomas Barowe, archdeacon of Colchester. Bond in 200l., payable at the Nativity of St. John Baptist next etc.
Condition, that if William Kayleway and Elizabeth his wife stand and obey the award of Morgan Kydwelly 'gentilman,' arbitrator indifferently chosen to decide on all causes and controversies between the parties on the possession of a capital messuage with garden, houses, cellars and solars in the parish of St. Benet Finke, Bredstrete Ward, wherein Hugh Dike, mercer of London, dwelt, and in other matters of dispute between them up to the date of these presents, and faithfully carry out the award, if delivered before the above date this recognisance shall be voided etc.
June 1. Award of Morgan Kydwelly, touching the dispute between Thomas Barowe, archdeacon in St. Paul's church London, and William and Elizabeth Kayleway, concerning the above messuage in St. Benet Fink parish which Thomas claims in right of his archdeaconry of Colchester, and William in the right of Elizabeth his wife by force of a lease made by Benet Burgh, the previous archdeacon, dated 6 May, 6 Edward IV, to Robert Sympson draper for a term of ninety-nine years, confirmed by the dean and chapter of St. Paul's without the agreement of the bishop: wherefore the parties having agreed to abide the said Morgan's award, and he having heard the evidence on each side, decreed that Thomas Barowe should enjoy the said premises without any lett of William and Elizabeth Kayleway, with all its issues and profits, notwithstanding the above said indentures, which shall be null and void. And after issuing the award he called the parties together, to which they agreed and directed him to engross the award, whereunto the parties have set their seals. Given 1 June, 1 Richard III. English.

Demise and confirmation by charter of the manor of Kyrkeby Beler and of ten messuages, eight tofts, three carucates of land, 40 acres of meadow, 200 acres of pasture, 10 acres of wood and 100s. of rent in Kyrkeby aforesaid, Leicester, Grymstone, Apketelby, Holwell, Estwell, Shalford, Gowedeby, Melton Mowebray, Dalby, Somerby and Thorpsachervyle co. Leicester, which manor etc. the said Thomas Danvers and John Legh in the king's court at Westminster at Hilary last, recovered against William bishop of Winchester by writ de recto: and appointment of William Brette and William Lytelhay as their attorneys etc. to convey seisin of the above premises to the above named lord Lovel etc. Whereunto they have set their seals.
