To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer and to the chamberlains. Order to account with Thomas Stanley warden of the house of converted [Jews] London, or with his attorney, for his wages and the wages of one chaplain and one clerk serving the house, and of John de Sancta Maria a convert thereof now living, from 29 September 22 Richard II, even as they used to account with him heretofore, allowing such wages as were allowed at the exchequer, and order to the treasurer and chamberlains to pay the warden what shall be found due and in arrear; as of his reverence for the Virgin Mary King Edward I granted to his converts of London for life 202l. 4d. a year at the exchequer towards their maintenance and maintenance of a warden of the house, two chaplains and one clerk, of the houses and other their property, so that after the death of each of them so much a year should be deducted as the deceased used to take; and on 11 September 21 Richard II the late king committed the office of warden to the said Thomas his clerk, being keeper of the chancery rolls, with the wages, fees etc. to that office belonging.
