Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against John de Middelton knight and Joan his wife, who was wife and is executrix and a tenant of lands of John Plenerhayset by the late king appointed with others to make inquisition in Cumberland, and take information by all means they could or might, concerning the names of all who carried to Scotland money of England, namely groats and ferlings of good weight, and there exchanged it with money of Scotland, namely, groats of false alloy and of less weight than those of England by one penny apiece, and halfpence whereof four weigh not more than one penny, paying the same to the lieges instead of the king's good money to defraud the king and his people, and converting them to other uses, or against other the executors of the deceased, his heirs or the tenants of his lands, but order to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as that commission was not delivered to the deceased in his life time, as John de Middelton has made oath in chancery.

York and of divers lands in Sandwath by Bilburgh, his heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty, for a sum of money beforehand paid, of the reversion of the said manor and lands. Thomas archbishop of Canterbury to Thomas earl of Arondell. Recognisance for 2,000l. to be levied etc. of his lands and chattels and church goods in Kent.
Memorandum of defeasance of the foregoing recognisance, reciting that debate having arisen between the archbishop and the earl, the archbishop agreed to abide the award of Robert Tirwhit, Robert Hulle the elder, John Reade and William Skrene or two of them, so that Robert Tirwhit or John Reade should be one, and the earl so that Robert Hulle or William Skrene should be one, and that the arbitrators have made an award concerning great number of those debates, upon condition that the archbishop shall fulfil their award, and shall at the discretion of William Gascoigne chief justice of the King's Bench and William Thirnynge chief justice of the Common Bench, or of two other justices in case those be dead or may not attend to the matter, or one other in case one be dead etc., shall find security that the same shall for ever be kept between him and his successors and the earl, his heirs and assigns, and upon condition that in regard to all other such debates etc. the archbishop shall abide the award of the said chief justices or other justices as aforesaid, and fulfil the same, finding security as aforesaid.

Confirmation of his estate in messuages, lands, marshes (marecta), saltworks with grounds (arreis) etc. and reversions of tenants in Holbeche, Flete, Arneflete, Whaplode, Algorkyrke and Kyrton and in the advowson of the chapel of St. Nicholas within the manor which was of Lawrence de Holbeche knight, all which Margaret daughter and heir of Sir Richard de Boslyngthorp knight demised by charter to Sir John de Multon knight and Sir Robert de Eyuile rector of Boslyngthorp and to their heirs, subject to a rent of 10l. a year for forty years, and after that of 40l. a year, reserving power to enter again and hold the premises in her first estate if the rent should be in arrear, the said Ralph having entered the same as her cousin and heir, and being now in occupation thereof in default of payment; and quitclaim of the premises to him and his heirs.
