Westminster.
To the collectors or farmers of the custom upon wool, hides and woolfells in the port of St. Botolphs town for the time being. Order, notwithstanding the preference of 10,000l. given to the king in a parliament lately holden at Westminster, to pay to William Somercotes the king's serjeant, yeoman of his robes, 10l. a year for life and the arrears for Easter and Michaelmas terms last; as for his good service the king by letters patent of 12 August 1 Henry V granted him for life 10l. a year of the said custom.
