Order to cause proclamation to be made, that all lieges who will obtain the grace and pardon granted by the king in the parliament holden at Westminster in 2 Henry V shall before the quinzaine of Michaelmas next at latest sue for their charters of pardon if they think fit, although lately the king ordered them to cause proclamation to be made that all such lieges should so sue before Easter last; as the king has prolonged his grace and pardon until the day named. Condition, that in the quinzaine of Michaelmas next he shall appear in person in chancery, and make answer to all that shall be laid against him on behalf of the king in all matters which concern the master or hospital of St. Leonard York, or else that certificate shall be that day given in chancery by Thomas bishop of Durham or Ralph earl of Westmerland of an agreement made between him and the said master.
Vacated, because by letters patent under his seal, which are on the chancery file for 5 Henry V, the earl did certify that the parties are agreed.
Robert Bussy, son and heir of Robert Bussy and of Agnes his wife, to Thomas de Barton. Gift for life with warranty of all the lands, rents and services of his said mother in Shilton, now called Silton Paynell, and in Kepwyk, reciting a charter (text follows) dated Shilton, Palm Sunday 1 Henry V, and witnessed by Adam de Leeke, William de Dunby, John de Shepeley, William de Brandesby and Robert Forster of Alverton, whereby she in her widowhood gave all the lands etc. there which descended to her by inheritance with warranty to the said Thomas for his life. Grant of the reversion after the death of William Clopton knight of the manor and advowson of Oxenede, and of all other lands, rents and services in Oxenede, Skeyton, Brampton, Burgh, Tutyngton, Marsham and Aylesham co. Norffolk which were of Robert Salle knight or the said Frances, and which William Clopton knight now holds for life with reversion to the grantor and his heirs. Dated 3 December 4 Henry V.

To the sheriffs of London. Order upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made, that all lieges retained upon the late expedition to France, to whom for furtherance thereof were pledged certain jewels of the king of no small value for payment of their wages for one quarter of a year, shall be in person before the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer at Westminster with all speed, there to account with the king, when he shall cause ready payment to be made of all that may be found due to them, and further that under pain of forfeiting all their goods they shall safe keep those jewels, not selling, spending, or eloigning them until the determination of their accounts; as the king's will is that what is lacking of their wages shall speedily be paid, and the jewels given up, and that this be brought to the knowledge of all concerned. Condition, that the said John and Katherine his wife shall keep and perform the award of John de Assheton knight and Nicholas Conyngeston arbitrators chosen on their behalf and Thomas Rempston knight and John Flete on behalf of the said Alexander (sic) touching the title and possession of a third part of the manor of Little Markham with appurtenances in Little Markham, Tuxforde, Milton and Bevercote, concerning which the said Alexander did arraign against them an assize of novel disseisin before Robert Tirwhit and his fellows justices of assize, now determined by his non-suit.
