Richard Fylongley the king's serjeant, one of the yeomen of his squillery, is sent to the abbot and convent of Malmesbury, to take of that house such maintenance as Walter Raaf deceased had therein. By p.s. [1002.]
Memorandum of an undertaking under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 24 May this year by Henry Percy of Athel otherwise Athetel co. Northumberland knight and John Belasys of Mitforde 'gentilman,' that they shall do or procure no hurt or harm to William Mitforde of Mitforde 'gentilman' or any of the people.
Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 2 June this year by John Sengelton of Chart co. Kent 'gentilman,' William Cokirnage 'wever,' John Aleyn 'lethirseller,' both of London, and John Laurence of Feltham co. Middlesex 'husbondman' for William Taillour chaplain, that within fifteen days after warning by them or any of them received he shall appear in person before the council, and shall henceforth preach or teach no error or heresy.
Declaration of William de Misyn' vicar of a mediety of Derfelde that, by order of Isabel daughter of John de Wodehalle and sometime wife of John de Barlay esquire of Yorkshire, on Saturday the eve of the Epiphany 2 Henry V he did deliver to Thomas de Wykereslay parson of a mediety of Derfelde, to keep under the condition hereafter mentioned, a writing by the said Isabel sealed that day in her widowhood in her manor of Wodehalle in the parish of Derfelde, (text follows), dated 1 July 11 Henry IV and witnessed by Master William Waltham and Sir John Haxsey, canons of the cathedral church of St. Peter York, Sir Robert Malton, Sir Robert Thriske and Sir Robert Ulverston clerks, whereby she made to John Falas of Drax serjeant at arms and Margaret his wife and to the heirs of their bodies a quitclaim with warranty of the manor of Collom, four messuages and ten bovates of land in Collom and Crome by Sledmere co. York, which writing she delivered to the said vicar to keep, under a condition that it should be null and void if John Boseville of Ardeslay esquire and the heirs of Mary his wife should deliver to John Falas and Margaret his wife and to the heirs of the said Margaret a moiety and due share of the manor of Wodussom' in full possession without challenge, and John Boseville and the heirs of the said Mary should have a moiety of the manor of Collom in full possession without challenge. Dated Derfelde, the feast of St. George 1421.
