Order to the sheriff of Gloucester for election of a verderer in the forest of Dene instead of Richard Penbrugge, who is insufficiently qualified.

Order to the sheriff of Suthampton for election of a verderer in the forest of Portchestre instead of Roger Ingelfelde, who is too infirm and aged to travail in exercise of that office.

To the escheator in Essex. Order to take the fealties of John Tirell, Thomas Rolfe, John Dorewarde, Richard Baynarde, Lewis Johan, Robert Darcy, Andrew Michell, John Basset of Chishell and William Gatton, and to give them livery of the manor of 'Markhalle' otherwise Latton Merke in Latton, which is held in chief as of the honour of Boulogne; as it is found by inquisition, taken before the escheator, that William Baude deceased made a demise thereof for seven years to William Rokesburgh, that he occupied the same, that William Baude after made a release thereof to William Rokesburgh, his heirs and assigns, in his possession being, that by virtue of the same he was thereof seised in his demesne as of fee, and without obtaining licence of the king after made a demise thereof to John Tirell and the others, their heirs and assigns, and that by death of William Baude and by reason of those trespasses the manor is taken into the king's hand; and for a fine paid in the hanaper the king has pardoned the said trespasses, and for 6s. 8d. there paid has respited the homages of John Tirell and the others until Michaelmas day next.

To the escheator in Essex. Order to give Joan late the wife of Ralph earl of Westmerland, livery of the manors of Claverynge and Catmere and the advowson of a chantry in Claverynge chapel, and the issues thereof taken; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by Thomas Stokdale late escheator, that by fine levied in the late king's court with his licence the earl at his death held the said manors and advowson jointly with her by grant of James Strangweys and Robert Strangweys esquire to them and the heirs male of their bodies, and that the same are held in chief by knight service; and for one mark paid in the hanaper the king has respited the homage and fealty of the countess until Michaelmas day next.
