December 1429

Dec. 12.
Westminster.
To the abbot and convent of Oseney. Request to take again letters concerning a corrody or maintenance for life within the abbey which Thomas Dalahowe has, to admit to their house Henry Benet the king's serjeant, one of the clerks in the office of the privy seal, and minister to him for life such maintenance as the said Thomas or any other had at the request or command of former kings, making and delivering to him letters patent under the common seal of the house with mention of what he shall take, and writing again by the bearer what they will do; as Thomas Dalahowe is minded to demise his estate therein to the end that Henry Benet may have it, and in consideration of his praiseworthy services with advice and assent of the council the king has sent the said Henry to them. [See p.s. 2162.]
Like writ to the abbot and convent of Wardoun in favour of Henry Benet in respect of the corrody which Thomas Delahowe had within that abbey. [See p.s. 2163.]
