Westminster.
To the sheriff of Kent. Order at his peril, for urgent business nearly moving the king, upon sight etc. to cause proclamation to be made, that all knights, esquires and yeomen who take yearly fees, wages or annuities of the king by grant of King Edward III, King Richard II, Edward late prince of Wales, John late duke of Lancastre, King Henry IV or the late king confirmed by the king, or by grant of the king, or are of his livery and retinue, shall under pain of forfeiting such fees etc. and all else that they may forfeit cease every excuse and hasten to draw towards the city of London, so as to be there on 1 March next at latest, to deal as at their coming they shall be directed on behalf of the king. Rose who was wife of Robert Tentirden citizen of London in her widowhood to John Jun' knight, William Darell, William Fynderne and John Langleygh, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of four messuages, 160 acres of land, 20 acres of meadow, 20 acres of pasture, 20 acres of wood, 60 acres of heath, 13s. 4d. of rent and the livery of two folds in Hermodysworth and Stanwelle co. Middlesex, and a several fishery in the river called the 'Langeforthe,' which Richard Edward and Mirabel his wife held for the life of the said Mirabel of the heritage of Nicholas Walpole of Suffolk with reversion to the said Nicholas and Nicholas Randolf of Surrey and to the heirs of Nicholas Walpole, reciting a fine levied at Westminster in 7 Henry V whereby the said Nicholas and Nicholas granted the remainder of the premises to John Brokholes clerk, the said Robert Tentirden and Rose, Thomas Osbarne citizen and mercer and Richard Kere citizen and 'iremonger,' both of London, and to the heirs of Robert Tentirden, with the homage and all services of John Smalebroke, Walter Huchoun, John Fyket, Thomas Fyssher of Colbroke, Simon Thauche of Stanwelle and Matthew atte Hill and their heirs for tenements held of the grantors, and reciting a charter, dated Pyrye in the parish of Harmodisworth 30 June 5 Henry VI, whereby Robert Tentirden made a release of his estate therein to John Brokholes, Thomas Osbarne and Richard Kere, their heirs and assigns, and a writing, dated 27 January 8 Henry VI, whereby the said Rose, John Brokholes, Thomas Osbarne and Richard Kere made a demise and grant of the premises to the said John Jun', William Darell, William Fynderne and John Langleygh and to their heirs, by name of all the lands, wood, heath, fishery, liberties, rents, services and reversions in Harmodisworth and Stanwelle and in Foulehale in the parish of Stanwelle sometime of Godfrey atte Pyrye of the parish of Harmodisworth or of Mirabel wife of Richard Edward and sometime wife of the said Godfrey.
