Sept. 11.
To the sheriffs of the city of Lincoln for the time being. Order of the fee farm of that city to pay to John Tyrell the king's knight, treasurer of his household, 100 marks a year during the nonage of Thomas son and heir of lord Roos last deceased, and the arrears thereof; as in consideration of his notable good service to the late king and the king, by letters patent of 25 September 10 Henry VI, with advice and assent of the council the king granted him 100 marks a year of the said fee farm during the said heir's nonage, and from heir to heir until the said Thomas or some heir should come of age, even as John Hotoft late treasurer of the household had, provided always that those letters patent should be delivered up in chancery to be cancelled whensoever provision should be made to John Tyrell of some office or other reward.
