To the sheriff of Kent. Order to give Richard Sellynge and Elizabeth his wife seisin of 5 acres of meadow at 'Stevyntonysforde' in the parish of Mersham held by Thomas Herst of Lose 'laborer' hanged for felony; as the king has learned by inquisition, taken by the sheriff, that the same have been in his hand a year and a day, eight years and more since the death of the said Thomas, that the king has taken the issues and profits all that time by the hands of the steward of the liberty of the archbishop of Canterbury for the time being, as appears by summons of the pipe of the exchequer, that the premises are held of the said Richard and Elizabeth in right of the said Elizabeth, and that no answer might be made to the king for any profit upon that meadow during the year and a day save for the herbage thereupon growing, for which answer was made, nor might any other profit be thereof levied.
