Thomas Basset of Witham co. Essex 'gentilman' to William Scarlet. Recognisance for 14 marks, to be levied etc. in Essex.
William Halle citizen and mercer of London to William Fallaun clerk one of the barons of the exchequer, Thomas Batell and Ralph Strete citizens and mercers of London. Letter of attorney, appointing them to sue for, receive and recover all debts to him due, to implead, arrest and sue execution against his debtors by process of law whatsoever, give acquittances etc. Dated 2 May 17 Henry VI.

Order to take again their letters patent concerning a corrody in that priory which John le Kent yeoman lately had by command of King Henry IV, to admit John Tymperley esquire to their house, and minister to him such corrody, making him letters patent under the common seal of the house with mention of what he shall take, and writing again by the bearer what they will do; as John le Kent is minded to demise his estate therein to the end that John Tymperley may have it, and in consideration of his good service the king has sent him to them. Condition, that if hereafter it may be proved that certain goods lately taken out of the boat of a carrack now in the port of Suthampton as it approached that port, namely a bale of grains of paradise, a 'balet' of wax, a 'grappure' of iron and a sword, are not goods of merchants of Genoa, those merchants shall give up the same or the value thereof to them to whom they pertain or ought to pertain.
