Oct. 12.
Westminster.
To the abbot and convent of Hales Oweyn for the time being. Order to pay to William Ludlowe 10l. a year for life, and the arrears for Michaelmas term last; as by letters patent of 22 June last the king granted to Richard Etton and the said William for their lives and the life of the longest liver 10l. a year of the fee farm of the manor of Roweley co. Stafford by the hands of the said abbot and convent and of their successors, notwithstanding that express mention was not made of other gifts or grants heretofore made them by the king or his forefathers, or any statute or ordinance to the contrary; and the said Richard is dead it is said.

Westminster.
To the customers of the petty custom in the port of London. Order to pay to John Seintlo the king's esquire 20l. a year for life and the arrears for Michaelmas term last; as by letters patent of 17 February last the king granted him for life from that feast 20l. a year of the issues and profits of the said custom.

Oct. 18.
Westminster.
To the receivers, occupiers or farmers of the manor of Chesterton otherwise Cesterton for the time being. Order every year to pay to John Morker and Robert Chaworth 6d. a day during their lives and the life of the longest liver, and to pay them the arrears since 16 May last, on which date the king granted them for their lives etc. 6d. a day of the fee farm of the said manor.

To the sheriff of Oxford and Berkshire for the time being. Order every year to pay to Robert Englefelde the arrears of 40 marks a year which for good service the king has granted him of the issues and profits of those counties in recompense for the offices of steward and constable of the castle and lordship of Chirke, until the king shall recompense him with an office of equal or greater value.

Westminster.
To the bailiffs, receivers or occupiers for the time being of the manor of Wodestoke and the hamlets thereto pertaining. Order every year to pay to William earl of Suffolk, Alice his wife and John Golofre esquire 3d. a day during their lives and the life of the longest liver, and to pay them the arrears since 16 July 17 Henry VI, on which date in consideration of their good services the king granted to them for life the keeping of 'Cornbury parc' co. Oxford, to be occupied by themselves or by deputies for their lives etc., with wages of 3d. a day of the issues, profits and revenues of the said manor and hamlets.

Sheen manor.
To the treasurer and the chamberlains for the time being. Order of the treasury to pay to Maiu le Herault 20 marks a year for life which with advice and assent of the council the king has granted him at the receipt of the exchequer in consideration of his losses at Dreux, his native place it is said, and of his continued daily service. By p.s. [5571], the date with authority of parliament.

To the bailiffs, farmers or occupiers for the time being of a moiety of the town of Thorvaston co. Derby. Order to pay to Thomas Bradfelde the king's esquire for life 8 marks a year of that moiety arising which the king has granted him, and the arrears. By p.s. [5612a, b], the date with authority of parliament.

To the sheriff of Warrewyk and Leycester for the time being. Order every year to pay 12d. a day to Robert Waleys and Thomas Staunton the king's esquire, usher of his chamber, and to the longest liver; as the king has granted to them for their lives etc. the office of arbalester within the Tower of London, to be occupied by themselves or by deputy, taking 12d. a day of the issues, profits, revenues, farms etc. of the said counties arising. By p.s. [5649], the date with authority of parliament.
