Westminster.
Stephen Reynolde of Exeter co. Devon 'gentilman' to John Baunfelde esquire. Recognisance for 200l., to be levied etc. in Devon.
Condition, that he shall abide the award of John Copleston esquire, Nicholas Radforde and John Wolston, arbitrators chosen by the parties, touching all actions, plaints, debates and demands between them. Proviso that the same be made within three weeks after Michaelmas next.
John Langton chancellor of the university of Cantebrigge to the king and his heirs. Charter of a toft and croft in Kingeston co. Cantebrigge, and the advowson of Kingeston church. Master John Stokes, John Stokker, Thomas Coke and Eleanor who was wife of John Brykles citizen and draper of London, executors of John Brykles, to dame Agnes Lucy relict of Sir Reynold Lucy knight, her heirs, executors and assigns. Charter indented of demise of all the lands of John Brynchesle of Benynden and John Petelisden of Tentirden co. Kent 'gentilman,' extended and adjudged to the said executors and to William Flete now deceased, who took the said Eleanor to wife, in an action for debt upon a bond of statute staple by John Brynchesle and John Petelisden made to the testator and to Richard Hungate now deceased for 200l. and their damages and costs, until she and her executors shall thereof levy the said sum, damages and costs; reciting that by virtue of a writ of 30 January last the said lands were seized for livery to the use of the grantors, that the said sum pertains to her as her proper debt, as in a writing noted of record does appear, and that by virtue of a letter of attorney by the grantors made on 12 February last Sir Walter Lucy knight, William Hylle clerk of the chancery, Edward Gilforde esquire, William Rogger of Sutton Valence, John Saltby clerk and Henry Wylande did receive those lands of the sheriff, and did enter and possess the same to the use and profit of dame Agnes, hereby annulling their letter of attorney. Dated 11 October 23 Henry VI.
