Robert Danby of Yorkshire serjeant at law, Thomas Stokdale of Essex 'gentilman' and William Marshall of Yorkshire clerk to John Martyn the elder, son of John Martyn late justice. Recognisance for 100 marks payable in the parish of St. Dunstan in the 'west' in the suburbs of London, to be levied etc. in the counties aforesaid.
Condition, that they shall pay 40 marks on the feast of St. Martin in winter next and 40 marks on 10 May following, not alleging any payment or acquittance, or any other writing to extinguish the debt, made elsewhere than in the parish aforesaid.

Lewis Bernard, Andrew Musselyn, both of Venice merchants, John Maunwich 'draper,' Henry Pernes 'draper' and Thomas Gray 'vynter,' all of London, to Simon Spynula and Demetre Spynula merchants of Genoa (Janua). Recognisance for 1,000 marks, to be levied etc. in the city of London.
Condition, that if before the Nativity of St. John Baptist next the said Deometre and Simon shall prove in chancery by letters of marque granted against merchants of Venice by the king of Castile and Leon and by other evidences that the goods and merchandise which were in a carrack of Venice, Dionysius de Antonio owner (patronus), taken at sea and plundered by one Massyn' a 'Spayneyarde,' were brought to the port of Southampton in a carrack of Leolinus an Italian, and by a judgment rendered in chancery were delivered to Thomas Conteryn' and John de Pount merchants of Venice, are goods of merchants of Genoa, and that the said Thomas and John had no title to the same at the date of capture, they shall within four months give up the same to the merchants of Genoa, or pay them the price or true value thereof.
Cancelled, for that the said Deometre and Simon on their part did not fulfil this condition by the date named.

Quitclaim with warranty, in her widowhood, of all the lands, rents, reversions and services, wards, marriages, reliefs, heriots, escheats, waters, fisheries, ways, paths etc. in the towns and fields of Dyngley, Brampton and Sutton upon Welonde co. Norhampton which they had by feoffment of Thomas Alyngton of Haverbergh the younger, son and heir of Thomas the elder, by charter dated Dyngley 24 April 17 Henry VI. William Parchemener of London 'draper' to the king. Recognisance for 40l., to be levied etc. in the city of London.
Condition, that he shall abide and obey the award of John Reynwelle and Thomas Catteworth touching all personal actions, suits, plaints and demands between him and John Faryngton, so that it be made within the quinzaine of Michaelmas next; and proviso that if they may not agree, he shall not crave judgment in an action of debt for 40l. due upon a bond before the justices of the Common Bench, when it shall come to rendering of judgment therein, neither shall judgment be rendered, before the feast of St. Martin in winter, and that from Michaelmas he shall obey and perform all that shall seem good to the court of chancery, and in conscience reasonable for him to do without fraud or covin.

Grant and quitclaim with warranty of the said William's estate in 6 acres of arable land and a parcel of meadow in Hanley, her estate wherein Joan who was wife of John Porter otherwise Carby has demised to the said Maurice, whereby he is thereof seised as of freehold with reversion to the said William.
