May 20.
Westminster.
To the escheator in Lincolnshire. Order to take the fealty of Roger Keys clerk, and to give him seisin of 6s. 6d. of yearly rent in Stamford; as it is found by inquisition, taken before William Skipwith late escheator, that Reynold West knight was seised (among other things) of the said rent, which pertains to the manor of Wakerley co. Norhampton, being parcel thereof, and is held in chief by knight service as that manor is, and by charter gave the same without licence of the king to Robert Gryndore esquire now deceased and the said Roger and to their heirs; and for a fine paid in the hanaper the king has pardoned that trespass, and for half a mark there paid has respited the homage of the said Roger until the Purification next.
