Memorandum that on 12 August 27 Henry VI Richard Sturgeon one of the clerks of the crown in chancery did there appear, and for particular causes him moving did resign and surrender the office of clerk of the crown, under a condition that his resignation shall not impair, quash or nullify letters patent of 17 October 3 Henry V, confirmed by the king, whereby the late king granted to him for life 20l. a year of the issues and profits of the hanaper of chancery by the hands of the keeper thereof, but that he may have the same this resignation notwithstanding.
