To the abbot and convent of Cerne. Nomination of Edward Atherton the king's servant, clerk of his closet, to receive the pension wherein by reason of the abbot's new creation they are bound to one of the king's clerks, until by them provided with a benefice. By p.s. [9513], and the date etc.
Roger lord Camoys to William Knott citizen and tailor of London. Deed of covenant that whereas Roger sued a bill of debt before the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer of 200 marks against Richard Joynour and Thomas Wynslowe, which sum was granted to him by patent 6 May 29 Henry VI, he will 'procede and pursewe' the said bill and will sue and avow all manner of suit by bill, writ or otherwise for the recovery thereof without any non-suit or other thing doing that may be to the hindrance of the recovery or of the execution of the same; that William have full authority to sue in his behalf, making such attorneys as shall seem expedient to him and shall have, take and enjoy to his own use all that shall be recovered, and upon his 'worshipp honour and estate' that he has not done nor will do anything to the hindrance of the recovery.
