Westminster.
Richard de la Hay of Kyngeslangley co. Hertford esquire and William de la Hay his son to Richard Fryston clerk, Richard Bitterley esquire and Hugh Wynkeley. Recognisance for 40l., to be levied etc. in Hertfordshire.
Condition, that they shall pay 4l. on Christmas day next, 4l. on Midsummer day 1453, 4l. on Christmas day following, 4l. on Midsummer day 1454, and 49s. 6½d. on Christmas day following, or within one month after those feasts, and so long as they shall have the farm or occupation of the lordship of Kyngeslangley shall pay to Richard Bitterley the wages and fees to him granted by letters patent of the king at the terms due and accustomed or within one month after.
