Jan. 9. Peter Floyde, yeoman of the crown, to Giles Dawbeney and Charles Somerset knights. Bond in 100l., payable at the Annunciation next or levied etc. in Surrey.
Condition, that if Peter pay Margery Floyde alias Foster at the White Harte Inne Southwark, 46s. 8d. each yeare: i.e. 26s. 8d. at the Annunciation, and 20s. at Easter: until he shall have obtained a lawful divorce from her by the church, this recognisance shall be voided etc.

Indenture between William Heydon and Richard Braddyng, yeoman of Westminster, whereby Richard has sold to William a messuage called the 'Hertishorne' with two cottages in Totehilestrete and all his lands and tenements, rents, reversions and services in Westminster: and will make him a lawful estate thereof before St. Bartholomew's next, by recovery, fine, release or warranty, for which sale William will pay Richard 20l., viz. 40s. at making of the estate, and 20s. each half year: and Richard will deliver all muniments and evidences pertaining thereto to him before Christmas: and each side has bound himself to the other in 20l. for the due keeping of these covenants. Indenture between Humphrey Segiswyke gentleman, and Robert Warcope the younger, showing that where by indentures between Robert Warcope the elder and younger, it is agreed that the younger shall not marry without the consent of the elder: and the elder shall take to his use all the money given for the marriage, which the younger shall recover by writ of entry in the post, in all manors, lordships etc. to his use in Cumberland, Westmoreland, York and Durham: that is: Stanffrey, Rongton and Sedell co. York and Gaynforth in the bishopric of Durham, to the use of Robert Warcop senior and Elena his wife, with remainder to Robert Warcop junior: and by these indentures each daughter of Robert the elder shall have forty marks of the revenue for her marriage, and Humphrey shall have charge of the recovery of lands in Melsanby co. York: and after recovery thereof, Robert the younger shall deliver the same to Robert the elder for term of life of Elena Warcop, discharged of all statutes, annuities etc. and will deliver to him all scripts and muniments concerning the premises. Richard Hall and John Eggecombe, arbitrators between John Asshewelle gentleman and John Boterell of Burforde, concerning a mese or burgage and 38 acres of land and half an acre of meadow in Burforde, formerly of John Lavyngton, having heard the evidence at Wodestok, 6 April last, decreed that John Asshewell shall before Michaelmas next make to John Boterell a sufficient estate of the same, delivering all relevant deeds and evidences, for which John Boterell will pay him 8l. 13s. 4d.: i.e. 4l the date of the estate, and the residue at St. Dunstan's in the West, at Michaelmas, with reciprocal quitclaim of all actions etc. English.

Surrey, whereby Robert for 100l. paid him by John, has sold to him all meses, lands and tenements, rents, reversions and services called the 'Lee' place and Stratton lying in the parishes of Wolkestede and Tanrigge, to him and his heirs: and he will before Easter next cause a sufficient estate in law to be made of the premises, discharged of all statutes of the staple, dowers, annuities and other charges, saving rents and services due to the chief lords of the fee: and he will cause all persons having interest on the same, to ensure the said lands etc. to John Mondy by deed, fine etc. with warranty, and he will deliver over to him all charters and muniments concerning the premises. Indenture between John Mondy, goldsmith of London, and Robert Wonham of Wolkestede, whereby it is agreed that if Robert pay John 100l. at Easter, 1507, and cause a sufficient estate in law to be made to him of the above premises, then if Robert alienate the said lands subsequently, or suffer recovery to be made, so as to discontinue the lands longer than for his own life, and to bar the heirs of his own body: then the said John shall be entitled to re-enter the premises and be seised thereof: and John Mondy shall likewise deliver over to Robert all evidences, muniments and charters concerning the premises.

Feb. 16. Indenture between Sir Reynold Bray, Sir Thomas Lovell, James Hobart, Richard Empson and Thomas Lucas on the one part, and John Clerke, mercer of London, on the other, whereby Sir Reynold etc., at request of the king, granted to John Clarke the king's ship called the 'Sovereign' with all masts, sails, anchors, cables, ropes, guns, gunpowder, armures and other instruments, tackle and apparel thereto belonging, as is shown in a pair of schedules between Robert Brykenden, clerk of the king's ships, and the said John, who has hired the ship for a voyage: that is, that she shall sail from Southampton beyond the straits of Marrok to any country it shall please John Clerke to send her, and charge and re-charge such goods as they please, which may prove most profitable, so that she pass not the countries of Syor (Syria) or Candia: and she shall return with such goods to Southampton, London or any other port and there discharge, and John Clerke shall victual and man her at his own cost and keep her tacking in good repair. And Sir Reynold etc. shall deliver the ship to him at Southampton, strong, staunch and sufficiently apparelled by May 1 next with the sum of 250l. for victualling: for which John shall be bound to the king in sureties for 300l. to repay the same six months after the return of the ship: but the jeopardy and peril of the ship on her voyage and of all the tackle and apparel shall be borne by his highness: for which John shall pay Sir Reynold and Sir Thomas the sum of 500l., i.e. 250l. six weeks after the voyage be completed and the residue later, and he covenants to deliver up the ship in as good a condition as he received her. Feb. 16. John Clerke mercer, John Payntour and Thomas Eyer grocers, and Robert Fennrother goldsmith, each of London, to Sir Reynold Bray etc. Bond in 300l., payable at Easter next, to be avoided if John Clerke pay 200l. on the appointed day, and fulfill all covenants expressed in these indentures.
The same, to the same. Bond in 600l. Like conditions for repayment of 500l.
