PREFACE
The present volume concludes the series of Calendars of the Close Rolls from the reign of Edward I to that of Henry VII, the object and character of which are explained in the Preface to the first volume for the reign of Edward II (1307–1313). The entire volume, introduction, text and index, is the work of Mr. R. E. Latham, an Assistant Keeper of the Public Record Office.
