William de Melton of Kereby, otherwise called William de Wheteley, to William de Ancroft citizen and merchant of London and John Rome clerk. Recognisance for 500l., to be levied etc. in Leycestershire.
Walter Clopton to Robert de Loundres knight and Elizabeth his wife for life. Grant of 6 marks of yearly rent of all his lands in Bromleye and Castel co. Dorset; and he has put them in seisin thereof by payment of 1d. Dated 17 June 9 Richard II.
Walter Clopton to (the same). Grant of 4 marks of yearly rent to be taken of all his lands in Clopton co. Somerset, seisin (as above). Dated (as the last).
Memorandum of acknowledgment of the foregoing writings, 28 June this year.
Thomas Wynchestre, son and heir of Richard Wynchestre late lord of Oterbourne, to Hugh Craan citizen of Winchester, John Kyng clerk, Thomas Wolvele and Thomas Lavyngton, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of the manor of Oterbourne and all other lands which they hold within the town of Oterbourne and in the parish of Hursele; sealed with the seal of the mayoralty of Winchester because the grantor's seal is to many unknown. Witnesses: Thomas Warenner, Thomas Wyntershulle the younger, Stephen Haym, William Inge, Jaspar Wodelok, John Launce, Richard Lavyngton. Dated Winchester, Friday after Ascension day 9 Richard II.
Memorandum of acknowledgment at Winchester on Wednesday after Midsummer this year before the prior of St. Swithun, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the file for this year.
