To the sheriff of Somerset and Dorset. Order upon his allegiance at his peril to cause proclamation to be made upon sight etc., that all who have wine, wheat flour, oats or any other kind of corn or malt, flesh, fish or other victuals whatsoever, sea coals or lime for sale shall from time to time take them with all speed to Ireland, and that on coming thither ready payment shall be made for the same without question. (fn. 1)

Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against Nicholas Lillyng knight, appointed with others by letters patent of 12 July 14 Richard II to make inquisition concerning all goods and chattels of John de Beauchamp of Holte knight deceased, who forfeited to the king, on the date of his forfeiture or after, to seize in the king's name all such as by that inquisition or otherwise should be found, in whose hands soever they should be, and to safe keep them until further order, but order to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as that commission came not to the hands of the said Nicholas, neither did he meddle in aught therein contained, as he has made oath in chancery. Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against Simon Benefelde and Robert Thomas, appointed with others to make inquisition in Sussex what goods and chattels were left in the alien priory called le Sele by Stephen Sauce late farmer thereof when the king committed the keeping of the priory during the war with France to Thomas Barton and John Aston chaplain, to whose hands they came, in whose they were, their price and value, and to seize them into the king's hands, but order to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as the said Simon and Robert never received that commission, neither did they meddle in aught therein contained, as they have made oath in chancery. Writ of supersedeas in favour of John Maplesden, and order by mainprise of John Parker 'vynter,' John Rigge tailor, John Amyoun 'jueler' and John Wysbeche tailor of London to set him free, if taken at suit of Ralph Ryede citizen and inn holder of London, Parnell his wife, Thomas White, John Bryan the younger, Richard Ryede, John Rede, John Sheldewyche, John Staunton and John Balteer for debt.

To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer. Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of any process against Thomas Husee late escheator in Somerset and Dorset, appointed with others a justice to make inquisition in Dorset whether Alice Hamond deceased held four messuages and 2 acres of land in Dorchestre and Brideport in chief and died so seised without an heir, and by another commission to make inquisition in those counties concerning great quantity of wines, merchandise, goods and chattels to no small value which pertain to the king as wreck and otherwise and were by divers evildoers dispersed, taken and carried away, by whom and how it was done, but order to proceed against others who did meddle therein; as those commissions were never delivered to the said Thomas, neither did he meddle in aught therein contained, having no knowledge of them, as he has made oath in chancery. To the same. Like writ, mutatis mutandis, in favour of William Bonevyle, appointed with others to make inquisition in Somerset and Dorset concerning great quantity of wines etc. (as above). (fn. 2)

To the sheriff of Cantebrigge and Huntingdon. Writ of supersedeas omnino in respect of levying 10 marks, which the abbot of Sautre is during the war with France bound to render at the exchequer by the hands of the sheriff for the time being, over and above 33l. 6s. 8d. a year, which the king by letters patent has granted to the warden and scholars of the King's Hall Cantebrigge, of the yearly pension of 40l. which the said abbot used to pay to the abbot of Bon Repos, an alien, for the churches of Fulbourne and Henyngham, now in the king's hand by reason of the said war; as of his compassion for the poverty of the abbot and convent of Sautre, willing to make provision for their relief, so that they be bound to pray for his health, the king has of his gift granted to the abbot the 10 marks remaining.
