Westminster.
Henry bishop of Norwich to the king. Recognisance for 1,000l., to be levied etc. in Norffolk.
Memorandum of defeasance, upon condition that the bishop shall abide the award of the prior of Christ Church Canterbury, Master Adam Moteroun archdeacon of Canterbury, Guy Mone clerk and Master Michael Sergeaux dean of the Arches London chosen on his side, the abbot of Westminster, Master John official of the court of Canterbury in London, John de Scarle keeper of the chancery rolls and Master Thomas Stowe archdeacon of Bedford on the side of the prior of Norwich, concerning all debate and strife between the parties, in case those arbitrators may agree before Whitsuntide next, and if they may not agree, that he shall abide the award of an umpire to be named by the king, in case such umpire shall make his award before Michaelmas following, fulfilling on his part all that shall be by such arbitrators or umpire determined.
