To the mayor and sheriffs of York and Nicholas Rocelyn, appointed to cause Simon Quixley, John Houeden of York and certain others, bound to the king in certain sums whereof the terms of payment are expired, to come before them, and to demand and receive such sums. Writ of supersedeas, in favour of the said Simon and John until the quinzaine of St. Hilary next, and order to set them free if taken, proceeding nevertheless against those others; as they have made a recognisance in chancery to Robert Garton the king's clerk for 201l. 17s. 2½d. payable at the day named.

To Hugh Huls, John de Markham, John Depeden knight, Robert de Hilton knight, William Hornby, Thomas Thurkyll and Walter Rudstan, six, five, four, three and two of them the said Hugh or John de Markham being one, appointed justices to make inquisition in Yorkshire concerning the names of the evildoers who with John Hunte, John Brewere 'fleccher,' both of Houeden, John Alle chaplain, William Bachiler, Thomas Nele chaplains, William Bekke, Robert Marton, both of Ellirker, Richard Santon of 'Northcave,' William West, William Dawesoun, both of 'Northcave,' Richard Crosse, Peter Halgarth, both of 'Southcave,' William Blacomore of 'Northcave' and William Broune of 'Southcave' broke the park of Walter bishop of Durham at Houeden, entered his free warrens there and at Walkynton, Ellirker, Brantynham, Welton, Estryngton, Belleby, Kylpyn, Knedelyngton, Askilby, Barneby, Clyffe, Rycall, Alverton, Bromton, Romonby, Knaton, Barweby, Thornton and Osmondirlay, without his licence and against his will hunted therein, took and carried away goods and chattels of his there and at Stillyngton and Neulande by Estryngton, and hares, conies, pheasants and partridges of the warren and deer of the park, assaulted, beat, wounded and evil entreated his men, servants and tenants at the said towns, ceasing not to lay upon them such threats that his men and servants dared not occupy themselves upon his business, and his tenants dared not for a great while dwell upon their holdings, wherefore he lost the service, rents and profits which he ought to have taken, and laying upon him other grievous injuries, as the king learned by complaint of the bishop. Writ of supersedeas until further order for particular causes nearly moving the king.

Writ of supersedeas, and order by mainprise of Edward Charlton knight of Salop, Thomas Shelee of Bukinghamshire, Robert Thorlee of London esquires, and John Barton of Bukinghamshire to set free Emma Burnette of Bryggeforde, if taken at suit of the king and Stephen Sparke for leaving the service of Stephen Sparke before the term agreed.

To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer. Writ of supersedeas in respect of any process against William de Rempston, appointed with others a justice to make inquisition in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Notynghamshire and Derbyshire concerning men of those counties whatsoever who by nets and engines have destroyed and cease not to destroy salmon, samlets and other young fish and the 'frye' and 'brode' of salmon, lampreys etc. within the rivers Humbre, Ouse, Done, Eyre, Derwent, Qwerfe, Sudde (sic), Yore, Swale and These, but order to proceed against the others aforesaid; as John Beauver has made oath in chancery that that commission came never to the said William's hands.
Robert de Chesthunt otherwise Faukener, son and heir of Edmund de Chesthunt one of the late king's falconers, to John Walden esquire, Thomas Wysebeche, William Bulcot and Richard Scot clerks, their heirs and assigns. Charter with warranty of his manor called 'le Bruses' in Totenham, which descended to the grantor by inheritance after his father's death. Witnesses: Adam Fraunceys, Alexander Goldyngham knights, Elmyng Leget, John Northamptone, John Michell esquires. Dated Totenham, Tuesday before the Nativity of the Virgin 21 Richard II.

Alice who was wife of Edmund de Chesthunte to John Walden, Thomas Wysebeche clerk, William Bulcot and Richard Scot clerks, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim of the manor of Brewos in Totenham, which they hold by gift of Robert Faukoner son and heir of Edmund Fauconer her husband. Dated 6 December 22 Richard II.

Writ of supersedeas in respect of any process against the executors or heirs of John Septvaux (sic), appointed with others to make inquisition in Kent by whose default the walls, dikes, gutters, sewers, bridges, causeways and weirs of the rivers between Canterbury and Sandewich are broken by ebb and flow of the sea and flooding of fresh waters, or against the tenants of his lands, but order to proceed against those others; as Gilbert Alflete, one of the said executors, has made oath in chancery that that commission came not to the hands of the deceased.
