Confirmation of the election of William, abbot of Westminster, made by the prior and convent, whose proctors, Robert de Bebi and John de Wanctinge, came to Clement V. to have it confirmed, the monastery having been void by the death of Richard de Kidington, called ‘de Sudburia.’
	Concurrent letters to the prior and convent; to vassals of the monastery; and to the king.
1316. 11 Kal. Dec. Avignon. (f. 62.)	To Adam de Sancto Johanne, of the diocese of Worcester, of illegitimate birth. Dispensation to be ordained, and hold a benefice.
17 Kal. Dec. Avignon. (f. 64d.)	To William de Lescapone, canon of Dublin. Reservation of a benefice or rural deanery in the gift of the bishop of Worcester, or any other, value 60l.

7 Id. Sept. Lyons. (f. 164.)	To John Gaythan Orsini (de filiis Ursi), of Rome. Confirmation, at the request of his kinsman Neapoleo, cardinal of St. Adrian's, of the provision made to him on 2 Id. Aug. before the pope's coronation, of a canonry of York, with reservation of a prebend.
	Concurrent mandate to Pandulf de Sabellis, papal notary, the abbot of St. Mary's, York, and the dean of Lincoln.
7 Id. Sept. Lyons. (f. 169.)	To Gilbert de Brueria. Confirmation of the provision made to him on Id. Aug. before the pope's coronation, of a canonry of Wells, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has canonries and prebends of Chichester and Lichfield and the parish church of Mapelderham, in the diocese of Winchester.
	Concurrent mandate to the abbot of Glastonbury, the archdeacon of London, and another named.
6 Id. Dec. Avignon. (f. 175.)	To Philip de Warlee, who, being rector of Clopton and Friseby, obtained a dispensation from the bishop of Lincoln to remain at his studies for seven years, six of which passed without his being ordained priest. Indult to retain the said benefices, as also a canonry of St. Chad's, Shrewsbury, for five years, he wishing now to study civil or canon law.
	Concurrent mandate to the bishop of London, the prior of Bermondsey, and Master Adam de Murimouth, canon of Wells.
16 Kal. Dec. Avignon. (f. 177d.)	To Master Adam de Orleton. Provision of the rectory of Weeton, in the diocese of Worcester, he having obtained from the bishop, now archbishop of Canterbury, a dispensation, by which he held the said church, together with canonries and prebends of Hereford and Wells, and also obtained the parish church of Acle, in the diocese of Norwich; a further dispensation that he got from Clement V. not having been expedited before the death of that pontiff. He is now allowed to retain the said benefices, but on obtaining other dignities in Wells he is to resign those he has, and is to pay before next Easter the first year's fruits of Acle, as a Holy Land subsidy, to William bishop of Palestrina.
4 Id. Nov. Avignon. (f. 200.)	To John de Solerio, canon of Hereford. Indult to enjoy the fruits of his benefices when engaged at the Roman court or elsewhere in the service of the pope.
	Concurrent mandate to the dean of St. Marius, Poitiers, and two others named.
11 Kal. Dec. Avignon. (f. 205.)	To John Jacuin of Besindon, and Eminota, called ‘de Caddevalle,’ his wife, of the diocese of Worcester, who intermarried in ignorance that his father was her godfather. Dispensation to remain in the marriage they have contracted, their past and future offspring being declared legitimate.
7 Id. Sept. Lyons. (f. 275.)	To Orsus, son of Poncellus Orsini, of Rome. Confirmation of the provision made to him on 2 Id. Aug. before the pope's coronation, at the request of his uncle Neapoleo, canon of St. Adrian's, of a canonry of London, with reservation of a prebend.
