Faculty to confer on fit persons canonries and prebends of York, Southwell, Beverley, and Ripon, which are in his gift, and of Howden, the presentation of which belongs to the prior and chapter of Durham, and the institution to himself, and to reserve prebends to his collation.
3 Non. Jan. Avignon. (f. 38d.)	To Patrick called ‘Persim,’ who in ignorance of the law accepted the rectory of St. Mary's, Forest, in the diocese of Glasgow, value 10l. and held it for eleven years, without being ordained. Dispensation to hold a benefice. Six years’ fruits of St. Mary's are to be paid to the papal camera by next Michaelmas.
Ibid.	To the abbot of Melros and the archdeacons of St. Andrews and Glasgow. Mandate to assign to the said Patrick the church of St. Mary's, Foresta, be being now of full age and ready to be ordained.

Commission and mandate to bring about and confirm a composition between the archbishop and the dean and chapter of York, touching their dissensions about the right and manner of visitation and jurisdiction claimed by the archbishop over the chapter.

1328. Kal. Mar. Avignon. (f. 80d.)	To Roger, bishop of Coventry and Lichfield. Absolution from his oath against alienating any part of the episcopal income, so far as concerns certain parcels of land, which on account of his oath he has not let, thereby diminishing the income of the see.
9 Kal. Feb. Avignon. (f. 81.)	To Anthony, son of Charles de Flisco, count Palatine, and of Lavagna. Provision of the canonry and prebend of Lincoln void by the resignation of his brother John.

Kal. Feb. Avignon. (f. 90d.)	To Richard de Wallingford. Appointment to the office of abbot of St. Albans, void by the death of Hugh, he having resigned his right in the election made of himself by archdeacon Richard de Paxtone and eight delegated monks.

8 Kal. April. Avignon. (f. 118d.)	To Ytherius de Concoreto, bachelor of civil and canon law. Provision of the canonry and prebend of Salisbury void by the death of John de Abbatisburi, otherwise called ‘Ostiensis,’ writer of the papal penitentiary.
	Concurrent mandate to the archdeacon of Canterbury and two others named.

Ibid.	To the bishop of Rochester. Faculty to appropriate to the chapter of Norwich the parish church of Chalk, in his gift.
Kal. Feb. Avignon. (f. 192.)	To the archbishop of Canterbury, and the bishops of Exeter and Hereford. Mandate to remove William de Ippeston, who has been put by Walter, bishop of Coventry and Lichfield into the rectory of Extone, Thomas de Bromptone being deprived of the same, and to reinduct and defend Thomas in possession of it. Appeal has been made to the pope, and the cause heard by divers judges.
1328. Kal. Aug. Avignon. (f. 209d.)	To James, papal chaplain, archdeacon of St. Andrews. Appointment to that see, void by the death of William.

8 Id. Mar. Avignon. (f. 239.)	To Master Hugh de Engolisma, archdeacon of Canterbury. Commission and mandate to unite to the abbot and convent of St. Albans the church of Appilton, in the diocese of York, of their patronage, a perpetual vicar being appointed. The abbot and convent are burdened with a debt of 5,000 marks, and their rents are diminished by the wars between Scotland and England.
Non. May. Avignon. (f. 285d.)	To Francis, son of Neapolio Orsini of Rome (de filiis Ursi de Urbe). Provision of the canonry and prebend of Lincoln, void by the death of Pandulph de Sabello, papal notary.

4 Non. July. Avignon. (f. 302d.)	To Nicholas de Hugate. Provision, at the request of the king, whose clerk he is, of a canonry of Lincoln, with reservation of a prebend, notwithstanding that he has canonries and prebends of York and St. John's, Beverley, and is provost of St. John's.

1324. 2 Non. Aug. an. 8. Avignon. (f. 330.)	To Gerard de Sudberi. The like provision of a canonry and prebend of Wells, notwithstanding that provision has been made to him of a benefice in the gift of the bishop of Norwich, by which he has as yet taken nothing.
	Concurrent mandate to the archbishop of York, Master Ralph de Holbeche, canon of Lichfield, and another named.
1328. Kal. June. Avignon. (f. 343.)	To the bishop of Lichfield. Mandate to remove Robert Bernard, who has been put by the dean and chapter into the vicarage of Baukewelle, Walter, son of Elias de Neuton, being ejected therefrom, and to reinduct and defend the said Elias in possession of the same; he having been appointed to it by papal mandate issued to the bishop, ordering provision to be made to poor clerks of benefices value 15 or 20 marks, as they have not or have cure of souls.
