The pleas of the forest have been summoned in the county of Gloucester eight days after the Purification, at Gloucester, before John son of Geoffrey, chief justice of the forest, Roger de Essex, Richard de Harcourt, and Thurstan le Despenser.

Henry de Bathonia has been appointed justice to carry out all things pertaining to the felony lately committed against John de Lechbrok, kinsman of W. archbishop of York, in the town of Oxford, to wit, touching Martin, Serjeant of the said John, killed, and the said John, wounded and badly treated, and all his goods taken away. And it has been commanded to the mayor and bailiffs of Oxford and the sheriff of Oxford to be intendant to him therein.
