Nov. 12. La Réole.

P.sacristan of the church of Barcelona (Barchinonensis) elected to be bishop of that church,has letters praying the pope to provide for him.

He has also like letters directed to all the cardinals.

He has also letters to the emperor praying him,when the envoys of the said elect pass through his power,to give them safe-conduct with their men,horness and harness.

Memorandum that on Wednesday before St.Nicholas the king retained Amauvin de Vareis and two knights in his service,and gives them 50 pounds of Bordeaux yearly.

Grant to Gwyrald de Burdegala and Peter'Porco'de Burdegala that, unless Richard de Burgo pay at Easter next 90 marks which he borrowed from them,the king will distrain the said Richard to pay it.
