PREFACE.
The present volume is a continuation of the Calendar of the Patent Rolls for the period between 1247 and 1258 which was published in 1908. It deals with a continuous series of rolls from the forty-third year of Henry III to the fiftieth.
The text has been prepared by Mr. J. G. Black, B.A., of the Public Record Office, with some help from Mr. R. F. Isaacson, an Assistant Record Keeper. Mr. Black has also compiled the index.
