October 1680

[Between Oct., 1680, and Aug., 1683.] F. M. B[aron] van Helmont to [the Earl of Conway]. The enclosed is a copy of a letter from a man I do not remember. Not being at London I cannot so well help him to obtain the grant he asks and, before I can give him a suitable answer, I find it proper to inform you, because you told me you wished to take part in such a business. I wait for your answer as also for the other copy of the letter, which the Countess is sending you. [French. Conway Papers. Ibid. No. 83.]
[Before 1682.] Request for a weighing porter's place for David Tucker of the White Horse, Westminster (mentioned as such in April, 1682, in Calendar of Treasury Books, Vol. VII, p. 444.) [Ibid. No. 84.]
