Feb. 4. 13. Wm. Herlle to Cecill. Entreats his compassion for his afflicted condition. Lat.

14. Wm. Lovelace, Roger Manwood, and John Jefferey, Serjeantsat-Law, to Mr. Hampton. State their opinion that the inhabitants of the Cinque Ports, by their charter, are exempt from payment of loans on letters of Privy Seal.

Feb. 19. Memorandum by Burghley relative to the shipping of cloths and kerseys out of the realm without restraint or licence.
Feb. 20. Charge of the Under Treasurer of the Mint according to the covenants of the indenture with the Queen.
Feb. 21. Goldsmiths of London to Burghley and Sir Walter Mildmay, Commissioners for the Mint. Complain of the delay by the Treasurer of the Mint in issuing coin for the bullion brought into the Mint to be made into money.
Feb. 22. Articles for grant of certain liberties to be made to the inhabitants of the Isle of Sheppey, addressed to the Attorney and Solicitor General; signed by Burghley and Mildmay.
Feb. 23. Articles for a grant of certain liberties to the inhabitants of the Isles of Sheppey and Harty. Same as the above, with some additional articles.
Feb. 24. The names of such rebels as be fled into the Low Countries and there remain. Indorsed by Lord Burghley, "Mr. Fitzwrs memoryalle of rebels in ye Low Contryes."
